A warm and welcoming group for people with enthusiasm for machine knitting. We want to connect in person to share ideas, expertise and encouragement.

Meetings

We meet on the second Thursday of the month at 7.45 pm in the evening.

In August we have a social event elsewhere and in January we meet on Zoom.

Our meeting place is:

The Old Barn Hall, Great Bookham,

Surrey, England, KT23 3PQ.

The first taster session is free.

If you are interested, the second session costs £5. If you decide to join, the club subscription is £40 per year, subject to review.

Our Story

We’re a thriving, small and friendly club that has been promoting machine knitting and supporting people in their hobby since the 1980s. We’re the only club dedicated to machine knitting in Surrey, England, and also draw members from the neighbouring counties and London boroughs.

We’re a non-incorporated community club run by a committee of volunteers drawn from the membership.

If you share our interest, come and find your place with us!

Donations

If you have machine knitting equipment or yarn that you would like to give to a good home, please get in touch.

In 2025 thanks to the generosity of several donors, we raised £150 for charity; knit blankets from donated yarns for a women’s refuge, equipped some new machine knitters and helped sustain club activities.
